François Tardif

François comes from the world of private manufacturing. He is still active at Maibec, a building materials manufacturer with a dozen plants in Canada and the United States, where he was CEO until 2019 and still serves as Chairman of the Board (COB).

François is a member of the Advisory Board of LFG Construction, the Board of Directors of the Fonds régional Chaudière Appalaches du FTQ and the Board of Directors of the Charlevoix NPO Camp le Manoir. As an executive, he was a member of the Cercle des présidents, Groupement des chefs and Chefs mailleurs du Québec business networks.

In 2019, following various readings and screenings, François was gripped by the severity and speed of climate change. Since then, he has been involved in climate action, sponsoring, among other things, the creation of a citizen training program by Université Laval, and initiated the creation of Brav, a methodology for supporting managers in dealing with climate impacts.
